Natural Home for the Israeli Diaspora?

Initiated by: the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto & the Reut Institute

An Israeli Diaspora leadership has recently emerged in North America, willing to invest resources in building a local communal life. Similarly, Jewish communal organizations have begun to invest resources in engaging Israelis within their communities. Despite these complementary trends, several stumbling blocks prevent Israeli Diaspora communities from becoming powerful catalysts for Jewish Peoplehood. UJA Federation of Greater Toronto and the Reut Institute have seized this opportunity to build thriving Israeli Diaspora communities in order to enhance Jewish Peoplehood and enrich Jewish communal life. Find out about the challenges Israeli leadership face and learn about innovative initiatives throughout North America to integrate the Israeli community into Jewish communal life.
