Israeli National Security and Global Affairs

Current projects to further this vision include: Cultivating a total foreign relations approach for Israel, the fight against the assault on Israel's legitimacy, Tikkun Olam - Israel and the Jewish People's contribution to humanity, and Israel's relations with the Jewish world and the Israeli diaspora.

Cultivating a total foreign relations approach for Israel:

Reut is working to promote a comprehensive strategy for Israel that dramatically develops Israel's international presence and expands the scope of its diplomacy beyond relations with formal government entities to include non-governmental organizations, municipalities and local governments, and influential individuals.

Fight against Israel's delegitimization:

The fight against delegitimization continues to be crucial to Israel's standing and interests. Reut plays a leading role in this fight by providing new ideas and methods to counter the attack and by strengthening and mobilizing the global network it helped to catalyze.

Israel and the Jewish World:

Reut is working intensively on advancing the concept of Jewish peoplehood with the aim of bringing Israel and world Jewry closer together. In 2012, Reut will be publishing Version B of its conceptual framework, which introduces a new vision for the Israeli Diaspora in the context of Jewish peoplehood, alongside policy recommendations for Israeli government ministries and Jewish organizations. In this context, Reut will implement its vision for the Israeli Diaspora in Jewish communities in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Tikkun Olam - Israel's Contribution to Humanity:

Reut has developed a unique vision of Tikkun Olam in the 21st century and seeks to catalyze its emergence within Israel and across the Jewish world. In 2012, Reut introduced a comprehensive framework and approach for making a distinctly Jewish and Israeli contribution to alleviating humanity's challenges, and is working with our partners, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and corporate entities to effectuate it. Beyond its substantive merits, this should also help bring Israel and the Jewish world closer together based on a shared mission and project, as well as improve Israel's legitimacy and standing among the family of nations.
