Clareta Treger


Age: 2018

Clareta joined Reut in January 2016 as an analyst with an expertise in the challenge of Israel's de-legitimization.

She holds an MA degree in political science from Tel Aviv University (with honors). Her thesis is titled "Paternalistic Legislation in Israel". She also has a BA degree in philosophy and Middle Eastern history from Haifa University (magna cum laude).

Clareta is a graduate of the "Havatzalot" program - the IDF's Intel Corps excellence program for the training of intelligence officers . During her 9 year tenure, she served as an officer in the research division, as well as in the planning directorate in a special team which was established in the aftermath of Operation Protective Edge (Gaza, 2014) in order to address the international diplomatic and legal campaign against Israel.

Clareta volunteers at Saleet NGO which runs a shelter for women in prostitution, and promotes awareness to prostitution in Israel.
