On the second day of Israel 2021 conference, Thursday, January 13th 2011, the Reut Institute held an international panel on 'Leapfrogging: What can Israel learn from the world?'

Panel participants included:

Professor Michael Spence, 2001 Nobel Prize Laureate in Economics, Chair of the Commission that wrote The Growth Report (the most important piece of research on leapfrogging)

Professor Ricardo Hausmann, Director of the Center for International Development at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government

Dr. Rory O'Donnell, Head of the National Economic and Social Council of Ireland

Professor Manuel Trajtenberg, Chairman of the Israel Planning and Budgeting Committee of the Council for Higher Education
